Lash lifting is a cosmetic semi permanent treatment that enhances the appearance of the eyelashes by curling and lifting them upwards. The technique is similar to a hair perm, but lash perming or lifting is specifically designed for the eyelashes.

The procedure involves curling and lifting the lashes upward over the eyelid using a special perming solution and a silicone pad. The solution is applied to the lashes for a certain period of time, after which a neutralizer and a fixing solution is used to set the curl.

The goal of lash lifting is to create longer, fuller and darker lashes without the need for eyelash extensions. The treatment takes around 45 minutes to an hour, and the results can last up to 6-8 weeks or until the natural lashes shed and are replaced with new ones.

Lash lifting treatment is a low-maintenance alternative to eyelash extensions and can help enhance the natural beauty of the eyes. The treatment is generally safe, some possible risks and side effects of lash lifting include irritation, redness, allergic reaction or swelling of the eyelids which can lead to more severe symptoms such as itching, hives, and difficulty breathing.

To minimize the risk of complications, it’s important to choose a qualified and experienced lash technician to minimize the risk of any complications or damage. This may include avoiding exposure to water, steam for 24hrs and avoiding rubbing or touching the eyes for 2-3 days.
